Yamagata International Movie Festival (YMF)

Co-managed by the 18 cable TV corporations of Tohoku, the Yamagata International Movie Festival (YMF) has been held every November since 2005. It has created a scholarship which provides its recipient the opportunity to make a theater feature film. Professional directors and actors are invited to Yamagata during the festival to join screenings, talk events, and concerts.
